Pretty cool work there! Isabel Bardasano's one of my favorite characters :)

Me too. That's why I wanted to represent her on one cover :)

You nailed Mike Henke. :D That's absolutely perfect! And I can see a family resemblance between her and Queen Elizabeth III as you drew her for _Mission of Honor_.

Yes it was my goal. I wanted to show that they are in the same family. But it was a little hard because they must be different even if there are common points.

I like Henke a lot more without Afro hair she's supposed to be sporting in the books. Looks more "natural" this way...

Hello,

well, when I had to draw this illustration I have thought that, at present, black people coif their hair as they want.

So, in a futuristic universe, I've decided to give her a cool hairdressing. Not too fun because she is a military officer, but I didn't want to make something "afro-basic".

I've not bothered to comment on 'every' one of these Genkkis, because I'd be saying the same thing over and over again, these covers are brilliant! Like others I love the way you capture each of the books 'highlights' with out actually giving away the story itself, and this and your Flag in Exile book covers are perhaps the two I love the most (despite loving all of them), how Henke is captured in this to me matches everything that has been put by webber into the books the grace and yet power of the royal line that runs in her blood along with the hardness and yet at the same time 'softness' that is described, after all one hardly goes through what she has over the years with out becoming hard heh, people tend to forget that Hanke has grown as much as Honor over the course of the main books and the sub/side books. The other comments I've put in Flag In Exile.

Keep up the great work on these I'd love to see them on some of the ENGLISH novels presuming I can ever find a bookstore here to buy his books in hardformat rather then resorting to buying them in Epublisher formats :(

Well... thank you, thank you and thank you again for your congratulations and encouragements (i don't know if it's the correct word in english)

As i answered to your previous comment, i try to catch the better moments of a novel. For this one, it was really hard because there is not any "climax" in the story.

Thus I decided to concentrate on these characters whom we never have (or rarely) seen on previous covers(blankets) : Henke, Bardasano, Deitweiller and others...
Because these characters are really important in the honorverse even if they don't play a big role in a novel.
It was the occasion to draw them.

Be assured that i'll continue to do my best for each cover :)
And pray for me when i'll contact the english publishers, i'll do it in few weeks :)

Have a nice day and an happy new year :)
