It's been a while since I had the chance to comment on one of your covers, but I'm not in the least disappointed - you've turned out another outstanding work! Choosing "From The Highlands" as your source of inspiration might seem counterintuitive to some at first, considering that the title story is about Nimitz and Samantha convincing the Bright Water Clan of the People (treecats) to send colonists offworld; but I think you can make a very strong argument for the proposition that the meeting of Anton and Victor (and the supporting roles played by Kevin Usher and Berry (soon-to-be) Zilwicki, future queen of Torch) is more consequential to the series as a whole. The portrait of Victor is a bit small for me to make out details - hopefully you can make him a central character when you get to doing "Cauldron of Ghosts" - but you've perfectly captured Anton.

I will say that I'm really looking forward to what you do with "Cauldron of Ghosts", which is one of my favorites in the entire Honorverse series so far. It's a real tour de force by Weber and Flint and there's just so much there that you can take inspiration from that it's a useless exercise, almost, to guess what you might choose - but I'm going to try anyway ;) . The book contains one of the most emotionally moving moments of the whole series, which captures the essence of the bond between Anton and Victor as it's been redefined since the alliance between Haven and Manticore took away the barriers that had formerly been there - but I think rendering it in picture form is going to be a pretty tough job. On the other hand, the transformation of Jurgen Dusek and his organization from (actually fairly principled) mafia to Resistance stalwarts - from zeroes to heroes, as it were - is a central theme of the book and I'd love to see how you portray that (if, of course, you do select that to work with).
