I love how I can see this cover, and without reading the title I know exactly which story it is, why the man in shadow is important, and just feel like I am dropped into the context of the story. (Then again, I read the book long before seeing this artwork, so I knew the context already. Not sure how someone who never read it would react)
another awesome Honor cover, many thanks! I really like your interpretation of the spaceships in the Honorverse! it's clear that you read the novels and paid attention to the story but at same time you bring your own point of view to questions of design. I think that gives your ships a very welcome dramatic impact. Bravo, is all I can say!
I like this one! No, wait, I take that back, I love it! I feel the need for a total fan-girl moment, but I won't do a TOTAL moment. It's Raoul! In little fetus form! This was my most favorite book, the only thing I found annoying about it, is that I want to know how the alliance of Manticore and Haven worked out and I think you know I could go on ranting about it, but I don't need to waste your time doing that. Thanks for the great artwork! Question: Who is the person that is behind Honor outlined by the light?
Wrong book, Mission of Honor is where Manticore and and Haven become friends, but I can't do two things at once(Like listen to Flag in Exile and type a comment, which is what I did)Still great art, I can't stress that enough.
LOL! Ah noooooo! You spoiled me a part of the story !!!!! I haven't read Misson of honor, i wait for the translation of my publisher. And since "at all costs", i wondered if haven and manticore will become allies. Lol again
To answer to your first comment : thank you again for your congratulations, as i said to another Deviant : you'll make me blush
And yes, it's Raoul At this moment of the story, he live in a cuve of the maternity hospital. It was a little risky to draw him like that but i didn't want to draw a baby, because it wasn't correct with the novel. So i had to find a way to draw him without shocking the readers.
The person that is behind of honor in the light is one of her lieutenants who try to murder her in the QG of her spaceship. He was brainwashed by Manpower if my memory is good.
In France, lot of HH's novels are divided in two books. This one is the cover of the first part of the story... That's why there isn't any reference to the final battle. But i think that is cool because i can focus on more situations of the story. Like i did on "war of honor".
